Team Ernest Wright
Everything you read on this website and across our social media is a collaborative effort by Team Ernest Wright.
Our stories begin in the workshop at Kutrite Works. They grow out of the daily work of making scissors and shears, conversations within the team, research into Sheffield’s industrial history, and interviews with customers, collectors, and fellow craftspeople.
Many articles and posts are written by members of our team, drawing on the knowledge and experience we use in the workshop every day. Others begin as interviews conducted by Pete Wise, who then works with the team to shape them into stories.
That knowledge comes from the people who make and look after our scissors. Pam and Natalie answer customer enquiries, while Jonathan, Neil, Paul, and the wider team contribute their expertise whenever a subject calls for it.
We use digital tools to help organise research and present our content, but every article, answer, story, and post is checked and approved by our team before it is published.
When you read something signed by Team Ernest Wright, you are reading the work of the people who keep scissor-making alive at Kutrite Works.
